ALRAR TINHERT EPC2 SOLAR

In November 2022, TRC Advanced Technologie was awarded an international tender launched by ENAC (Entreprise Nationale de Canalisation) for the supply and implementation of a large-scale solar power project within the Tinrhert Fields Development in the Alrar region, Algeria.

This project is part of the broader Tinrhert Development Program, which expanded the scope of works from six (06) fields initially planned in the 2015 FEED study to nine (09) fields, with the total number of wells increased from 98 to 105 wells. The international contract entrusted to TRC Advanced Technologie demonstrates the company’s proven expertise and competitiveness in delivering turnkey renewable energy solutions for the oil and gas sector.

The project covers the engineering, supply, and deployment of ninety-one (91) independent solar systems designed to ensure autonomous power supply for remote oil & gas field facilities. Each system is dimensioned to guarantee 5 days of autonomy, providing continuous, safe, and reliable energy to Instrumentation and field devices, Solenoid valves and limit switches, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and Cathodic protection systems.

All systems were engineered and validated through detailed technical studies, including Preliminary Power Calculations, Solar Irradiation PVGIS assessments, Heat Dissipation calculations, and Single-Line Diagrams, ensuring compliance with international standards and site-specific environmental conditions.

ARH (Hydrocarbon Regulatory Authority) is the independent governmental body responsible for regulating, controlling, and certifying hydrocarbon-related activities in Algeria. All equipment and materials (PV arrays, charging cabinets, distribution , battery banks, protection and control devices) were submitted to the ARH for conformity review and were approved prior to commissioning. Factory and site tests (FAT/SAT) were witnessed in line with ARH-approved procedures. Commissioning and energization were performed under ARH oversight, with certificates of conformity issued before handover.
